A healthcare executive with a BS in biology from James Madison University, Tony Jawhar is the CEO of Advanced Medical Systems (AMS), a company that focuses on marketing medical devices for neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, pain management, and post surgical care. At the company, Tony Jawhar oversees all sales and marketing operations and also promotes partnership-based business solutions to clients in the medical industry.
Aside from AMS, Tony Jawhar also holds a leadership role at Innovation Spine, another one of his ventures. He is CEO of the company, which provides spine market data to device manufacturers and clinical research organizations. Previously, he was CEO of Washington, D.C.'s MedBridge, which he also cofounded.
Before he became an entrepreneur, Tony Jawhar served as a sales associate with Boston Scientific, where he sold devices for spinal cord stimulation for more than five years. Prior to that, he was a territory manager for Smiths Medical (2002-2004) and AT&T (2001-2002).
Mr. Jawhar regularly attends spine health conferences hosted by organizations such as the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and traveling.
